Welcome to the Jacksonville Sail & Power Squadron!

The Jacksonville Sail & Power Squadron (the squadron) is part of the nationwide United States Power Squadrons. Our primary mission is boating safety through education.  We have many courses that will enhance your enjoyment of recreational boating and expand your skills as captain of your boat.  The squadron fosters fellowship with other boaters by monthly dinner meetings and monthly cruise and rendezvous event.  Lastly, the squadron participates in several community service events related to boating.

The squadron meets the first Thursday of the month at The Rudder Club.  The meetings include an attitude adjustment hour, a catered dinner and a program of interest to boaters.  All this begins at 6:00pm and is over by 9:30.  The club is located at 8533 Malaga Ave.  A reservation is required and the cost is $16.00 a person.  For  reservations please call our treasurer, John Tommasulo at 230-1220.

The squadron holds a monthly cruise event to waterfront destinations in northeast Florida – usually in the upper St. Johns River basin.  Each cruise typically includes a dock party and a dinner event such as a fish fry, pig roast or at a nearby restaurant.  All events may be attended by boat or car.
